Our tracker visits every provider's public pricing page once per day and records, per plan: the advertised (introductory) price, the renewal price, the term length, and the currency. Historical points before our daily tracking began are backfilled from the Internet Archive's dated snapshots of the same pages. Every row is stored with its date and source. Prices are observed from a fixed vantage point; where providers geo-price, the recorded currency and region are stored with each snapshot.
Scored purely on measured pricing behavior — never on commissions, features, or opinions. The score reflects the worst intro-to-renewal increase across a provider's plans:

Price collection is fully automated — software visits each provider's pricing page daily and records what it finds; no human types a price into this site. Analysis and drafting are AI-assisted, working from that database. Every article is read, checked against the source data, and approved by a human before publication — nothing publishes itself. Automated data pages update on their own, but they only ever restate measurements, never opinions.
What we do not do: we do not buy, install, or hands-on test these products. We do not review speed, uptime, or support quality. Every rating on this site scores one thing only — published pricing behaviour. If you ever see us imply otherwise, that is an error and we want to hear about it.
